When I first heard about Cookie Dough Truffles, I thought what a concept. When you are baking Chocolate Chip Cookies, who doesn't eat half of the dough before you can even get them on the baking sheets?
That would be me - I try, and I try and I can't keep myself from eating the cookie dough right out of the bowl before I can get the first cookie sheet ready for baking.
I made some of these truffles for Christmas gifts this year, and I can truly say they are the gift that keeps on giving deliciousness!
Cookie Dough Truffles
Recipe Source: Angela Lively of Baxter Tennessee
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups flour
1 (14-oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup semi sweet mini chocolate chips
1 cup finely chopped pecans
1 1/2 pounds chocolate bark, melted
Note: Since the dough is sticky, roll your fingers into flour. This will make it easier to roll. Melt chocolate bark candy coating in a double boiler. Using 2 forks, dip cookie balls into candy coating to cover. Place on waxed paper and chill to set. Store in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
This post maybe link up to Weekend Potluck, and all these fabulous parties!
I've had a recipe for cookie dough truffles for several months and planned to make it for my cookie trays at christmas, but I FORGOT!!! Who doesn't love cookie dough. I might almost like it better than the baked cookies. Yours looks so good I can't wait to try out the recipe.
ReplyDeleteI am not a cookie dough person, smiles. I just don't get it. But then, I'm one of those odd folks who don't care for chocolate either.
ReplyDeleteI think I need therapy.
These look great! I'm like you, I eat half the dough before the first cookie gets dropped onto a pan. Can't wait to try these!
ReplyDeleteSinful Southern Sweets ~ thank you for stopping by and for the follow! I am following you now and I can't wait to make those pecan pralines...my mother use to make them when I was a little girl and I never got the recipe! They look wonderful delicious! Blessings, K
