Fresh Peach Cobbler With A Homemade Double Crust {Granny's Recipe}

Fresh Peach Cobbler made with a bottom crust and a lattice crust on the top that gives the taste of peach dumplings with every bite!   Peach season has arrived here in East Texas, and one of the first things I wanted to make was a Fresh Peach Cobbler , so this last weekend that is just what I did.

Grilled Asian Style Marinated Chicken {The Main Attraction}

This past Memorial Day weekend, we fired up the grill for this quick and yummy Grilled Asian Style Marinated Chicken , and you might say it was the main attraction .  I am so excited to be grilling this year.  Most of our grilling season last year was spent in the hospital with my husband.   I am so very happy to say that this summer is not the case.  My husband is continuing to improve and is well on his way to a full recovery.   I have made this recipe several times in the oven with pork medallions as well as with chicken thighs, and they were delicious, but I must say the grill is my favorite.    

Secret To Better Pimento Cheese

Better Pimento Cheese , delicious pimento cheese with a few secret ingredients to wow your guest.  Mix all the ingredients together,  put it in the fridge and the flavor just keeps getting better and better.   I have a friend, Pat Williams, that makes the most delicious P i m e n t o C h e e s e you will ever eat.  My family calls it Better Pimento Cheese . There are a few secrets that she shared with me about what makes hers stand out. One thing, she uses is an extra sharp cheddar cheese, (preferably Cabot Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese that she shreds herself), Helmsman's mayonnaise, and here is the crescendo diced Jalapenos .  How yummy is that?  She says that if you can wait, it taste better after being refrigerated for a day or so.  Thank you, Pat, for sharing your wonderful recipe with me!

Strawberry Bacon Spinach Salad

In the perfect world, I think Strawberry Bacon Spinach Salad would be right up there at the top with the combination of the sweetness of the strawberries and the crispy, salty taste of  the bacon.  Ever since the strawberries have been plentiful in the grocery stores, I have been planning on making this salad, and each time I get ready to make it, we have eaten all the strawberries.  You see, my husband is a big fan of strawberries, and one of his favorite ways to eat them, is to slice them up, put sugar on them, and then let them sit in refrigerator until they make that wonderful juice in the bottom of the bowl.  Now-- that is not all , then he tops them off  with a big dollop of whip cream.  This is his perfect World! The first time I ate a Spinach Salad was in my high school Home Economics Class.  It was actually a Wilted Spinach Salad with the salad dressing being the bacon grease and a little cider vinegar drizzled on top.  Wow!  That was a long time ago. Italian Garden Pasta Salad {Jennifer's Recipe}

Italian Garden Pasta Salad, tri-color pasta, garden vegetables, mozzarella cheese, and mini pepperonis toss in an Italian Dressing.  Perfect salad for potlucks, picnics, and any gatherings that don't have refrigeration. Do you every start a dish with the main ingredient and build on it?  Well, this is what my daughter did with this delicious Italian Garden Pasta Salad .

Coffee Pie {Jennifer's Recipe}

Coffee Pie , another fabulous no-bake dessert, white chocolate pudding gently flavored with coffee using Hazelnut International Delight in a chocolate cookie crust. Whether you are a coffee lover or not, you will love the velvety smoothness of this scrumptious pie. Every time my daughter, Jennifer, takes this Coffee Pie  to a gathering, they always request the recipe. She has brought this pie to several of our family gatherings, but it seems that since I always depend on her to bring it, I never get the recipe.

Very Blueberry Coffee Cake

Beautiful layers of blueberries in a rich, buttery coffee cake, simply delicious. The coffee cake is topped with an extra sprinkle of blueberries and coarse sugar. BLUEBERY BREAKFAST CAKE These cakes are made with simple baking ingredients are light, moist, and not overly sweet making them perfect for a light desset, quick breakfast, elegant enough for brunch, and what about an afternoon snack.   The blueberries are in my freezer, and I can not get them out of my mind without making one of my favorite breakfast coffee cakes.  So, I adapted my Very Blueberry Muffin recipe into this wonderful scrumptious coffee cake.  I scatered extra blueberries across the top for a burst of flavor.  I even sprinkled coars sugar on top like the muffins.
