When I made this
Spinach Artichoke Pizza New Year's Eve, I was making it by the seat of my pants. I have been wanting to make several different kinds of pizza that I have been seeing on different blogs and was always putting it off. When I would see the recipe to make the dough, I would bookmark the recipe and never make it. I recently had been seeing people buy pizza dough by the case at Sam's in the deli and wondered if I could make my own pizzas at home myself using Sam's dough. One of these days, I want to learn to make my own dough, but for right now I needed something simple and quick when I want to make a quick pizza. So that is what I did, I bought a case of their pizza dough in the deli. It comes frozen in individual dough balls in bags and all you have to do is thaw out how many of the dough balls you will need at the time. I must say, I am so pleased with how easy and quick I am able to get the dough on the pan, not to say how delicious it taste. Along with the
Easy Homemade Spinach Artichoke Pizza I made New Year's Eve, I also made a
Pepperoni Pizza using the mini pepperonis. Now that was a huge hit and enjoyed by all.
Easy Homemade Spinach Artichoke Pizza
1 homemade pizza dough recipe or 1 pizza dough ball from Sam's Deli
6-8 oz. jar Alfredo Sauce
4 cup fresh spinach, rinsed and dried
8-12 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
1-1 1/2 cup marinated artichokes, quartered and sliced
2-3 cloves garlic, minced
sliced mushrooms, optional
Preheat oven to 350° F. Place pizza dough on a large sheet pan or large pizza pan, gently stretching to conform to the pan. Brush Alfredo Sauce on dough, covering entire surface. Sprinkle artichokes and minced garlic evenly on top. Stack the spinach leaves, then cut lengthwise into 1/2 inch strips; scatter evenly over crust. Cover pizza with shredded mozzarella, and top with sliced mushrooms. Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and edges are crisp.
