Some time back a friend of mine shared this wonderful recipe for beef tips with me. She said it comes from a cookbook called "Easy Does It Cookbook" by Carol Burns and Liz Miller.
What a treasure it is to get cookbooks from your friends and to share their recipes. This dish has become one of my family's favorite.
Not only are these Easy Beef Tips in Mushroom Sauce easy and delicious, but they are also great to serve when you have company! The hardest thing you will find about making this dish is not opening the oven door during cooking. The aroma is incredible!
Easy Beef Tips in Mushroom Sauce

- 2 lb. lean chuck, cut into 3/4" pieces
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 pkg. onion soup mix
- 1 c. 7-Up (I used a whole can)
Place meat in 2 sq casserole (do not season) pour soup and soup mix over meat. add 7-Up and cover casserole. Bake at 275 degrees for 4 hours. Do not open oven door during cooking.
Cook's Note: You can serve these with Egg Noodles, Mashed Potatoes, or Rice.
