Dark Chocolate Zucchini Cake with Mocha Frosting

Dark Chocolate Zucchini Cake , a chocolate cake recipe that is moist and light, and you would never know that a summer squash is a secret ingredient. For the icing, I use a classic cocoa powder that makes it taste more like mocha frosting.                                   My neighbor sent over these two huge zucchinis last week, and I mean huge. Before I thought about it, I had started cutting into one when I wished I had taken a picture of them so you could see how big they were.

I ate this seasoning Tajin Fruit and Snack Seasoning on nearly everything I ate this summer while I was in Mexico on a mission trip. I was afraid that I would not be able to get it here in the states when I got home, and I was so excited to find it at my local Wal -Mart.

Homemade Peach Ice Cream

Homemade Peach Ice Cream,  bits of chopped peaches swirled in a rich homemade vanilla ice cream mixture made with sweetened condensed milk. Now you know why it is a family favorite. My daughter Jennifer makes a regular trip to Pittsburg, Texas each year around her birthday in June to Efurd Orchards to get fresh peaches.

One Of Those Plans!

This is a new journey for me as a blogger. I hope to experience a new fondness for writing and sharing my creations, activities, and events that are going on in my family life. I am in the season of my life that I am living my dream and enjoying it. The most important part of my life is to be so close to the Lord that I know immediately when I can't hear His heart beat. Jim, my husband is the man that helps me keep this in place and is always there to direct me to do what God's Word says for my life. God has plans for my life that are so rich and giving. One of those plans are for me to write my first cookbook. I have had a real passion for cooking for years that was inspired by my mother, Fern Sewell. The memories of her recipes she created and cooked for me as a child, and shared with me as a young newly wed, are memories that I still have today. Through this inspiration, I am in the beginning stages of writing a cookbook, show casing her recipes, my recipes, and my child
