Three Bean Salad,  a throwback salad from the 50s.   It is a great salad for picnics, cookouts, and at any family gatherings, it will serve a large crowd.  Two weeks ago I shared a favorite retro recipe for Southern Stuffed Cabbage Rolls .  Today I am sharing another retro recipe and a summer favorite .  This salad can go anywhere.

Easy Baked Coca Cola Ham

Easy Southern Classic Ham all year around.  My Mother feels that the coco cola pulls some of the salt off and tenderizes the inside of the ham.  It also gives it a wonderful caramelization on the outside. Easter White Trash and Cute Gift bags

The basic recipe for the trash is the same each time.  I just change the color of the M&Ms for what holiday we are celebrating.  I use cute pink, yellow, blue, and purple M&Ms for Easter.  What child doesn't love to get M&Ms in their Easter basket! You can't believe how this stuff is so delicious and highly addictive. I try to give away as much of it as possible to remedy that.   I found these cute little Easter bags at Hobby Lobby this year, and they were perfect for giving them away in. Asparagus Spears with Sesame

I am so happy it is springtime because it means the arrival of asparagus season. Ham Rolls are the perfect appetizer for any gathering you may have, or if you are like me, you may like to make them just for a snack. Every Thanksgiving, Christmas, or special occasion, you will probably see these on our table. The recipe came from my Mother. There are so many variations now. I have to say hands down, that the ham roll recipe that my mother handed down to me is still my favorite, and that is the one with just ham, cream cheese, and pickles.
