Nutella Chocolate Chip Cookies

12:30 AM
Nutella Chocolate Chip Cookies, soft melt in your mouth chocolate goodness made with yummy Nutella and loaded with dark chocolate chips.

It is time to start thinking about getting my Christmas treat boxes ready for gift giving.  I wanted a new recipe for a chocolate cookie.

The Nutella in these cookies balance out the rich dark chocolate chips and brings the perfect chocolate richness.

I am so pleased how they turned out and will definitely be making them again.  They are soft and a bit chewy.  The perfect cookie for my Christmas Gift Boxes.

I hope you get to make some during the holidays.  Enjoy!

Nutella Chocolate Chip Cookies
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup Nutella stirred before scooping, (heaping)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.  Place parchment paper on a baking sheet pan; set aside.

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking soda and salt.

In the bowl of a stand mixer using the paddle attachment, beat together butter, Nutella, sugars, egg, and vanilla until well blended, scraping down the sides once.

On low, add the flour mixture and mix until well blended, scraping down the bowl every few minutes.

Remove bowl from the mixer stand and stir in the dark chocolate chips until well incorporated.

Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on the prepared sheet pan.  Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes up to an hour.

Bake 9-11 minutes or until the edges are set and the top is soft.  Do not over bake.

Remove the cookies from the oven and let them rest on the parchment for 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.

Store in an airtight container.
