Homemade Monkey Bread {BHG Golden Bubble Ring}

There are no surprises when it comes to making the nostalgic and all time favorite  Homemade Monkey Bread .  A dough made from scratch, bite size pieces rolled in cinnamon sugar and baked in a caramel sauce.  Amazing! I first started making Homemade Monkey Bread from scratch in the early 70's using the number one cookbook for newlyweds, the Better Homes and Garden Cookbook , printed in 1971.

Three Cheese French Bread

Three Cheese French Bread,  family favorite!  Sometimes a meal just seem lonely without some gooey crunchy french bread. There are several methods of making french bread into this wonderful bread frenzy. I usually use what I have on hand. Sometimes I just like a buttery garlic spread, but what I like most is to put this wonderful cheese mixture that I use in my Homemade Cheddar and Greyer Bread .

Valentine Treats! Marshmallow Pops

Valentine's Marshmallow Pops are the perfect treat to make for celebrating Love in the air!  Each one can personalize their favorite candy.     What do you do with your grandchildren for Valentine's ?  In the last few years, one of my favorite things to do with the grandchildren around holidays or celebrations is to include them in making treats.  Not only is it fun for them, but they also have the time of their life getting to use their creativity and imagination, not to say their appetites too -- for all those yummy ingredients. This year I wanted to do something that they could dip chocolate in since I had so much left over from Christmas.  At first, I thought of strawberries (and they love those), then I thought about cake balls (and they love those), but I saw these strawberry marshmallows at Walmart and decided that they would be fun to dip too.  To add little piazzas to them, I bought some Valentine's sprinkles, and as you can see in the picture also, the cocon

Tortilla Ham and Cheese Pinwheels

Tortillia Ham and Cheese Pinwheels , a flavorful appetizer easy to prepare.  These are better made the day before, refrigerated and served the next day. When I saw these Tortilla Ham and Cheese Pinwheels over at Mommy's Kitchen, I knew that these would be on the menu for our Super Bowl Party. They are the most versatile appetizers you can make.

Frijole Bites aka {Homemade Mini Kolaches}

South of the Border Bites , a pastry that holds a spoonful of shredded cheese, pinto beans, and diced jalapenos.  Wrap up the mixture in a ball and lay upside down in a dish.  Brush with butter and bake.  Perfect bitesize bite!   The recipe for these South of the Border Bites aka "Kolaches" came about when I only used half of the dough from my Heavenly Cinnamon Rolls that I made on Saturday.

Delish! Texas Style BBQ Hot Wings

Texas Style BBQ  Hot Wings  are crispy, tender, spicy hot,  sticky sweet and smothered with Baby Ray BBQ Sauce.  Delish! I prefer to bake my chicken wings in the oven until golden brown and crispy instead of frying them. Especially while the Super Bowl Game is on, so I am free to get the rest of the appetizers ready. After they have baked, I toss them with a mixture of hot sauce and barbecue sauce. Not only do they call for a few ingredients, but also they are fast and easy to make. They are the perfect bite. In the beginning, you taste the tangy sweet and end up with that wonderful hot spicy flavor in the back of your mouth. The next time you are making some hot wings, think about making, Texas Style BBQ Hot Wings, you will not be disappointed! WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE TEXAS BBQ HOT WINGS 1 1/2-2 lbs. chicken wings, frozen generous amount of salt and pepper for brining 1 12 oz. bottle Texas Pete Hot Sauce 1-1 1/2 cups Baby Ray barbecue sau

Punch Bowl Cake

Punch Bowl Cake is a recipe from the 1970s!  You can vary the ingredients, but starting off with a yellow cake is traditional! Super Bowl Party Cake Punch Bowl Cake is a fun dessert to make and take to a party, family reunion,  or any large crowd gathering. Step back and watch everyone go in awe over it.  Punch Bowl Cake has been around for a long time. I remember my mother making it in the 70s.

Super Bowl Eats! Ham Rolls {Granny's Recipe}

Ham Rolls are the perfect appetizer for any gathering you may have, or if you are like me, you may like to make them just for a snack. Every Thanksgiving, Christmas, or special occasion, you will probably see these on our table. The recipe came from my Mother. There are so many variations now. I have to say hands down, that the ham roll recipe that my mother handed down to me is still my favorite, and that is the one with just ham, cream cheese, and pickles.
