Chocolate Cream Pie is a family favorite, creamy, dreamy, and delicious. Pies can be fun to make and are such an accomplishment when finished.
Microwave Chocolate Cream Pie
This Microwave Chocolate Cream Pie is simple to make with little fuss, yet has a rich and intense chocolate taste and is topped with sweetened whipped cream.
When I was growing up, Chocolate Cream Pies were made for nearly every get-together.
When it comes to making a delicious chocolate cream pie today, my daughter, Jennifer, is the one everyone asks to make it.
My daughter always chooses chocolate cream pie as the first dessert when we go to Luby’s. This pie is a copycat of the Luby’s Cafeteria.
Chocolate cream pie has been one of my favorites for as long as I can remember. Pies can be fun to make, and it's an accomplishment when finished. This pie is simple to make with little fuss.
First, start off with the crust. We use a homemade pie crust, but a shortbread cookie crust is equally as easy.
And store-bought will do just fine, too. Second, for the filling, I add all the ingredients to a microwave-safe bowl, except for the butter and vanilla, and microwave for 6-8 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes.
Did I say this pie is quick and easy to make?
I love that this pie has a rich and intense chocolate taste, and to balance that out, it is topped with sweetened whipped cream.

So glad you stopped by to let me know how you enjoyed the pie...I make it with a meringue too...either way it is a family pleaser!
DeleteThis sounds so good. I think I will make this on the stove. Have you ever made it that way? I have never really cooked anything in the microwave only to reheat already cooked food. Thanks for a yummy recipe.
