Lemon Lime Sugar Cookies {Caleb's Yummy Creation}

Here is another cookie recipe we made during our cookie marathon I had when the Grandchildren were here.  These Lemon Lime Sugar Cookies were made by Caleb, my 10 year old grandson, and came about when we decided that we needed another flavor besides chocolate and peanut butter.  Caleb is so creative and such a perfectionist when is comes to choosing a great presentation.  We had some mini M&Ms leftover from Easter so he picked out the yellow and green ones for this recipe.  He did such a fantastic job.  He not only worked so hard at reading and getting the recipe right, he made them look so pretty.  Just that little bit of chocolate mixed with the lemon lime in the cookies made these super delicious!

Jalapeno Burger {Every Bite Has A Kick}

  I have been seeing on the commercial for Burger King this wonderful Jalapeno Burger , and I wanted to create one myself.  You pretty much just take your hamburger meat and season it with your favorite seasonings and add chopped jalapenos. Depending on how hot you like your food, when you pick out your jalapenos, you should pick the ones that are short and fat for a lot of heat and the longer ones for a milder heat.  I found this out when I made these burgers, and although they were delicious, for my taste, they could have been a little hotter. At the end of when you take a bite of the burger, you have that wonderful heat that ends up in the back of your mouth.  That to me is a perfect bite with some kick to it.

Creamy Skillet Corn {Granny's Recipe}

Creamy Skillet Corn , super simple to make with few ingredients and is a great side dish to take to any gathering using fresh corn cut off the cob that is creamy with surprising crispiness. Look at these beautiful ears of corn I got at Walmart for 15 cents an ear.  I am not surprised that they are running corn on special. Fresh corn is always ready around the first of July here in Texas.

Peanut Butter Chip & Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies {Hannah's Favorite}

This last week was a busy one for me with having all of my grandchildren at my house off and on during the whole week.  On Saturday, two of my grandchildren and I, baked cookies all day.  I think when it was all said and done, we had baked eight dozen cookies.  These Peanut Butter and Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies were made by my 11 year old granddaughter, Hannah.  She not only worked hard at reading and making sure she got the recipe right, but making sure that each cookie was the same size. She did such a fantastic job.  Of all the cookies we made these were her favorite.  How can you go wrong....peanut butter and chocolate...yum.

Brown Sugar Banana Bread made with Sugar Substitute

Brown Sugar Banana Bread, rich caramel flavor provided by the addition of brown sugar totally compliments the bananas in the banana bread recipe. Are you a fan of Banana Bread so much so that you find yourself craving it and wishing you could make it with fewer calories?  That is how it is with me, so I decided to make one using  the recipe I make most of the time and substituting a Brown Sugar Substitute in place of the sugar. WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE BROWN SUGAR BANANA BREAD WITH A SUGAR SUBSTITUTE Butter Eggs Soda Flour Sugar Substitute (Truvia, Splenda, Pure) Bananas HOW TO MAKE BROWN SUGAR BANANA BREAD WITH A SUGAR SUBSTITUTE Preheat oven 350 degrees F.
