A Delicious Dessert for July 4th! Easy Strawberry Dessert Pizza

1:26 AM
Strawberry Dessert Pizza, strawberries, marshmallow cream cheese filling and refrigerated cookie dough make a delicious summer dessert.

I have been admiring a Strawberry Dessert Pizza recipe over at Mommy's Kitchen for some time now.

She has a lengthy recipe index of yummy quick and easy desserts that look absolutely delicious.  You need to stop by and check them out.

I finally got around to making it this past Memorial Day weekend for my grandsons.

They enjoyed it so much so that I went to the grocery store and bought enough ingredients to make another one.

I didn't have my usual pizza pan to make the Easy Strawberry Dessert Pizza in, so I decided to use my cast iron round griddle.

Like Tina, I started off with a package of refrigerated cookie dough for the crust.

After the cookie crust baked and was cooling, I made the first layer to the pizza out of a rich, creamy mixture of cream cheese and marshmallow cream.

The next layer is a ready made strawberry glaze I purchased at the store, and then I topped the pizza with fresh strawberries.

All of this took no time to make, not to mention how fabulous it tasted!

Strawberries are the star in this dessert and the marshmallow cream just sends it over the top!
Enjoy your 4th of July and stay safe! Deliciousness!!

Ingredients:
  • 1 16 oz. package ready to bake sugar cookie dough (24 individual cookies)
  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese, soften room temperature
  • 1 7 oz. jar marshmallow whip
  • 1 16 oz. strawberry glaze (I used Marzetti's)
  • 1 13 oz. carton fresh strawberries, sliced in halves
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Arrange individual ready to bake cookie dough in a 12-14 round cast iron griddle.

Press the cookie dough pieces together to form a pizza crust.

Bake 15-18 minutes or until the cookie dough is cooked and golden brown.  Let cookie crust cool completely.

Beat cream cheese and marshmallow whip in the bowl of an electric mixer using the wire whisk attachment until smooth and creamy.

Spread cream cheese mixture over cooled crust to within 1/2 inch from the cookie edge.

Spread the strawberry glaze over the cream cheese mixture and top with strawberry halves.
Refrigerate any leftovers.
